I guess my question is this - why would Irwin go to the trouble of sending out all these ballots if he already had 40% of the shares in his back pocket (as stated in the Article)?

I am just wondering the following?

Does he need some level or retail investor involvement to avoid a class action lawsuit later? If he sells us cheap or there is missmanagement on his end? Such as he sells us to a major and then they hit the largest Nickel deposit in the world - Can't imagine that would be good for him?

Clearly he had to know when he issued the proxy fight he was going to get somewhere in the neighborhood of 0-1% of retail investors? So why send out all the junk mail for big bucks?

Was it to trick people into double voting so he could negate some votes?

Is this thing going to be that close - even with 40% in the bag....

Never seen anything like this in my life?
