Good post John... I agree with your comments.... The US has the drowning swimer syndrome.... They want to take anyone and everyone else down with them... That is the only way that they can keep the perception alive for the world reserve currency status of the US dollar.... This isn't just about having cheaper commodity prices for Americans... it's about the survival of the US dollar... and that survival is dependant on individuals, banks, companies and countries being willing to hold thos US dollars.

If you canot control the price... increase the volitility to make investors avoid the alternatives.

This recent move in the US dollar has provided the oportunity for some of those offshore US dollar accounts to be converted at a premium to other currencies or Gold!

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction... Newtons laws apply to the financial sector as well.
