While the Aurelian part of this message is OT, I think that everyone should have a read of the article and understand the power that Agoracom has created.
For all the chatter that appears on this forum from time to time, we as a group have dramatically increased our power to educate ourselves with geos like Johndefur, miners like Been There and eyes on the ground people like Googleeye. There are (or were) great advocates of the companies that would remind us of why we are here (talking to you D12). Others have tamed the conversations and asked us to look deeper (Polylabel, Franzneumann, Bentonstock). My favourites are those who gather information from all over and present it in a convenient package (Helium, QQ_Girl, Bernardho). Even Alcollard's daytrader pessimism served a purpose.
These are the assets that exist on this board. There are many more that participate (Donnypee, Goldilox, Glorieux and Miskealp to name a few more) on a daily basis in a grounded and realistic manner.
In June, on the Spider resources board, online shareholders fiercely debated the pros and cons of share consolidation. This education aligned most of the online retail investors to vote against the proposal, and the proposal was soundly defeated.
I expect when it comes time for NOT to be bought out, that the voices on this forum will be heard, loudly and clearly, if we feel we are being handed a bum deal.
