in response to Old Joe's message

Would it also be fair to say that the problems that followed the winning bid by INCO were as much or more of their own doing as opposed to their blaiming everyone else?

Old Joe

No one is blaiming anybody. The negotiations with Aboriginal Groups took longer than anticipated and Inco took a $1.5B write-off later, mainly due to eroding metal prices. According to my sources, Vale Inco is relatively quite comfortable with the return being generated from the operation at current high levels of metal prices and also with it's control of another world-class Ni/Cu camp.
