Woke up to see the Canadian dollar at lower end of its range.As I know it,foreign companies usually repatriate their cash around this time..hmm,wondering if theres a play here,also watchin price of oil as dollar and oil often tied together...anyone else watchin the C$?

can't believe how many "reality" shows they have on tv lately lookn for gold (what,they already sold all those storage lockers?) GOLD RUSH,JUNGLE GOLD,BERING SEA GOLD...some of it is actually quite interesting.But the next show has to be about Aussies that take their metal detectors out back and find a $300 000 nugget.

I see no real gamechanging products coming soon,3rd straight missed earnings,fallen below $500,loss of momentum,questionable leadership ?...but they have cash on hand,must be makin a killing on apps and transactions.Perhaps its just a temporary lull.,dont believe the story is over,so at some price it must be a buy..but at what price.Is it the new MICROSOFT?....What price is APPLE a buy I ask YOU ?

Yes,its that time of the year,so here goes (and PLEASE do ur homework on these..)

1,Dollarama (DOL-tsx)...I always go here first,and I always buy too much.Clean,well organised stores (unlike other dollar stores),now selling nice stuff for more than a dollar.On a roll.(great,now I've cursed them..) small dividend

2, SHORT The Bay ..Yes,this is the Air Canada of retail.Who shops Dept stores ?I love the nostalgia and history,but hate the store.the ONLY salvation is their real estate.SHORT SHORT SHORT

3,ACASTI (APO-v or t)..this is a spinoff of NEPTUNE (krill oil)...the results are there,but never liked management.You ll have to the research on this one,but the product looks good...

4,MY FUN PICK....MANCHESTER UNITED (Manu-NY)...The NY Yankees of Soccer.You look at pro sports and say "IDIOTS"..EXACTLY..because some idiot is bound to come in and overpay,because its not about the money,its ego...buy on weakness

5,THE RISKY PICK...POSEIDON (psn-t)..tax loss selling done,could bounce,I think its oversold,but worth a flyer..

popular opinion seems to be a worst case 2something low,with a reasonable 5dollarish high.Watching the tax loss season,the lawsuit(how bad could it be IN CANADA lol),but just between u and me,am itchin to buy this.May quickly recover a coupla bucks...
