Re: salesmenship--edig

ttedy1 - in technology sales there are "presenters" these folks have technical knowledge of the products and services and do the technical portion of the call. You still need a relationship builder to close deals, open prospects and follow leads. Presentaiton is important but follows the relationship builder.

All IT companeis operate this way...they have to...like all other sales situations, excluding selling commodities. IT sales is not easy, the "salesman" is not selling cars, used or otherwise. It's very complex and requires technical knowlege, but most importantly knowledge of people, and caring about people.

think of sales as being someone's consultant - how can you satisfy thier needs? What are their needs to begin with? Does the prospect even know thier need? Do you need to clarify to them what they need? How do you commuincate thier needs to them? Etc...sales is not linear, not even close.

Finally what EDIG is selling is not retail but high level B to B...it's licensing situation between corporations, or a partnership deal...there are many differneces here than with "normal" IT sales.

Re: salesmenship--edig

tteddy1 - sales is 100 percent relationship building and not much more - yes you "need" a product and the client must have a need - but in both of these instances EDIG is set - for example, they have several products there is a market for....

so how is EDIG selling? They are using a law firm to market and sell thier products - here's the pitch - license or buy it or infridge...and get sued.

"Salesmanship" as you call it is relationship building...EDIG is not selling a commodity.

Let'see what happens with this approach.

Re: Performance...

From another board - they are more optimistic than most here.

I hope Fred was serious when he said DUE DILIGENCE and not puffing anything...

Anyway here is the message:

"Fred did say NUNCHI prospective customers were in the final stages of the sale which is doing their due diligence so to me that means NUNCHI LICENSING IS IMMINENT! EDIG often pulls a rabbit out of the hat and I bet this was planned by Freddie just in case the legal stuff did not go perfectly. From the August 14 earnings PR:

"The marketing of our Nunchi patent portfolio continues through IPmetrics Intellectual Property Consulting, which is managing the valuation and monetization of this portfolio. We believe they are making good progress in getting the portfolio into the hands of the prospective licensees, many of whom are currently conducting due diligence," concluded Falk."

I hope they have somehting real......maybe this is true? Cross your fingers and hold your breathe...

Performance...

Does anyone here think that EDIG will have tangible, positive developments in sales and marketing related to the other products they are trying to sell?

Secrecy aside, which is being argued to death - what about sales performance?

That's all that matters....I don't agree with the cone of silence or veil of secrecy given the latest developments with the litigation, but there isn't anything I can do about it, and the BOD will not change its policy....

As you'all know we really need to hear something about REAL progress in sales...not just promotional talk, or promises...anyone have any thoughts on whether that will actually happen tomorrow?

Re: Interestng statement defining Collateral Estoppel

If you havn't already noticed - the so called "judicial system" in this country is a joke and no better than any other country.

In fact it really sucks due to corruption. It would not surprise me if this judge was just plain lazy and did not want to handle the case, so he ruled against edig in fear that Apple would swamp his court with papers.

In other words said to himself - let edig appeal...then the case will be on some other judge's docket...

edig needs to sell something fairly soon, relying on the "court" system to make money is not a sure thing at all...

Interesting article on EDIG -

It may be old? I don't know but is still true - this article does not address thier other patents, including the due diligence with NUNCHI...

e.Digital Corp. (OTC: EDIG) Off to the Races!

EDIG owns the very valuable Flash-R™ portfolio of patents

e.Digital Corp. (OTC: EDIG) has been making an explosive move up in recent months from a start point of around $0.03 in August the stock has seen recent highs of $0.16 per share. When EDIG gets hot investors need to take notice as this stock has a history of highly explosive moves; Speculators who were around in the late 90's and into 2000 remember the legendary run that EDIG made from pennies to highs of $24 per share. In 2004 EDIG caught fire again running from just over a dime to highs well over $0.60.

e.Digital through its wholly-owned subsidiary under the same owns a valuable portfolio of intellectual property including the Flash-R™ portfolio of patents related to the use of flash memory in portable devices. EDIG also markets a eVU® mobile entertainment system for the travel industry.

It is e.Digital's Flash-R(TM) patent portfolio covering the use of flash memory technologies that puts this Company on the map. The Flash-R(TM) portfolio of flash memory-related patents are essential to many portable consumer electronic products and used to be worth in the range of $5 to $10 million in annual revenues for EDIG. Due to a reexamination of these patents EDIG has been unable to license the Flash-R(TM and the Companies once highly lucrative revenue stream dried up completely.

The Price of EDIG stock which dropped to lows around $0.03 during the reexamination is on the rise as the reexamination of the Company's '774 and '737 patents has been favorably concluded and e.Digital is once again free to license its Flash-R(TM) patent portfolio.

Fred Falk, President and CEO of e.Digital recently commented "Now that the reexamination of the Company's '774 and '737 patents has been favorably concluded, we are aggressively pursuing Flash-R(TM) patent monetization activities,"

Since September e.Digital and their autorneys Handal & Associates have filed a number of patent infringement lawsuits. In the complaints, e.Digital asserts that products made and sold by the defendant companies infringe the Company's U.S. patents covering the use of flash memory technologies. These patents are part of e.Digital's Flash-R(TM) patent portfolio.

Defendants include J & R Electronics Inc, Sweetwater Sound, Inc., Kraft Music, Ltd, Sec Tech Enterprises, Creative Technology, Ltd., GPX Inc., DPI, Inc. dba Digital Products International, iriver, Ltd., iriver, Inc., Osram Sylvania, Inc., Shaghal, Ltd. dba Ematic, Mach Speed Technologies, LLC, and Woodman Labs, Inc. dba GoPro, and distributers including Sears Holdings Corporation, Sears, Roebuck and Co.,Kmart Corporation, Toys "R" Us, Inc., Buy.Com, Inc., Newegg, Inc., Best Buy Stores, L.P, Best Buy.Com LLC, Target Corporation, Sport Chalet, Inc, Quicksilver, Inc, Recreational Equipment, Inc. dba REI and Hastings Internet, Inc.

Conclusion: e.Digital owns a very valuable patent portfolio covering the use of flash memory technologies that is utilized and distributed by many of the biggest names in Retail. Now that the reexamination of the Company's '774 and '737 patents has been favorably concluded EDIG is aggressively pursuing Flash-R(TM) patent monetization activities. EDIG has seen some very important developments in recent months and it looks as this will continue. The Company has close to $3 million in the treasury and little short term debt leaving a healthy budget for their patent infringement lawsuits. While the stock has already seen significant gains in recent months EDIG still trades fairly close to its historical lows and boasts a loyal shareholder base that swears this one goes way higher.
