This isn't time to panic it's time to celebrate.

Okay, maybe celebrate is a little strong wording. But due to the recent PP we knew it would effect SP. Everyone wanted a chance to participate in the recent "Private Placement". Well we just got our chance (minus the options). I know I added some this morning just wish I had more to add to the pile.
We have steadily increased SP the last few weeks due to what this company has to offer. The fact that they made a PP shows that there is more interest from larger entities. We are getting noticed and once someone notices what we offer it's going to be hard to look away.
I hate the downswing inSP as much as anyone for my bottom line but still say we will see it creep back up by the time we get to the PDAC. Bring on the news. Last chance to grab them cheap we are going to see.

Re: What is Happening now?

Thanks for the insight Troy. Saves me from calling you and getting your thoughts on things once again. I have to agree that most of what you have speculated seems entirely possible especially that part about the general "air of silence" recently regarding anything to do with the First Nations. In the past they have not remained silent when they have felt unjustly treated so with that and the recent surge in SP I must admit I've been feeling very twitchy (in a good way).
Gotta think with the PDAC just over a week away some news is gotta be coming down the pipe very soon.
Hold tight all you longs, it's time we finally get rewarded.

Re: Look West for Hydro Ontario

Speaking from personal experience as a Manitoba hydro employee. Wind and solar power, although great as a supplemental source, cannot be relied upon for consistent power. Manitoba has attempted to use both only to find the cost of setting up windmills and then keeping them maintained and operational is just not profitable. Solar I have less experience with but solar panels are large and need a large area to set them up. hydro electric is the way to go for reliable, consistent power. Would love a little job security and have Ontario purchase it from Manitoba.

Getting it right...hurry up and wait.

So there has been some good news so far these last few months and a lot of speculation on more coming down the pipe. Still Noront and their plans are centred on the government and their dealings with the First Nation communities. With that in mind I would have to think that our enthusiasm needs to be reigned in a little as currently although there are talks and dealings nothing looks to be coming in line for at least a few months.
The permits should have been granted already but looks like in the effort to "get it right" we are loosing our ability to move forward at all. This is giving us lots of time to come up with plans and strategies but stalls our actual development. Until we get the go ahead. We are grounded. Our potential is still there just unfortunately is in someone else's hands. Promises of soon have come and gone. Still hugely believe in us and am holding the shares to prove it just don't think anything is happening tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong . GLTA

Disappointed

So disappointed in the direction this company has gone and continues to go. I, like many, have purchased a large amount of shares at a much higher price (close to .30) and now with the proposed 30-1 split my net worth is only set to move further downward. I understand that the company is trying to bolster the SP to make it look more attractive but it's unfortunate that it's on the backs of the long time shareholders. This 30.1 only gives more room to go down in SP while making the climb back to even ground not .30 anymore but now $9 and I don't see that happening in the near or long term future.
At least a 10.1 puts my break even at about $3 which again is a very, very high hill to climb but at least not insurmountable. If I have my way the stock will stay as is and try to build some momentum on it's merits and perhaps I will have a chance to not only break even but if we went as far as production of some sort, even make money off this play.
Anyone who thinks we will profit off a split is being misled my our company and it's management. This is not good for any shareholders only for the company's bottom line. SHAME on you GNH for forgetting that it's your shareholders that make you a strong company.
GLTA ...we are going to need it.

Re: Strapping in

I do realize nobody actually expects us to get to $7 today or even anytime soon. I fully expect us to get to these levels but will not expect to see these prices for a year or two (unless a buyout ).
Hopefully our enthusiasm is held with a little realism because too much optimism can actually be a bad thing if we start hitting bumps along this ride. Everything in stride...it's not going to be a straight line to the top .
Still a little dreaming can't be a bad thing...have to have a plan to spend all that cash someday after all.
