Chinese to invest $100M into Niagara Falls....ROF next?

I doubt this has anything to do with the KWG halt, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next big investment by the Chinese will be in the ROF.

My bet for the halt is that KWG and NOT have merged...extremely material news for KWG. From an investment point of view, not material enough for NOT, so doesn't warrant a halt, but extremely material from a land assembly perspective if they are able to pull off this merger off.

Just my two cents.

Re: News - Fed will follow with RR announcement?

Does anyone recall when is Deloitte supposed to come out with their recommendations?

Wondering how this will line up with all the other pending announcements.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Noront announces a proposed $10.0 million private placement

Any reason why they couldn't have done the financing a couple of months back when the stock was over $0.70?

Totally manipulated and this is painful to watch.

I have been in the stock since 2007 and have watched the manipulation time and time again.

The sad truth is that this company will get bought out before any of us longs get to see any true value. The fund will be happy with their 200 - 300% return ($1 - $1.50) and Baosteel has the resource locked up so don't know if they really care about where the price ends up.

For those investing right now, congrats you are buying into a great resource and will earn a decent return on your money over the next 12 - 24 months. Notice that I say, great resource and not necessarily a great company. For us longs who have tried averaging down, we will be lucky to get our full investment back.

I hope I am wrong and we don't get bought out until we are north of $10, but something tells me this won't happen.

Best of luck to all.

Share Buy Back

Just a thought.

I know cash is king, but what if they used $10M of the $18M raised to buy back 100M or so shares?

If they need to raise more funds, they can do it at higher prices as one would believe that a share buy back would raise the value of the stock.

Regardless, I truly believe that this stock will soon take off.

Re: short term shares

It has been a very long time since I last posted, however I read the boards every day.

I wanted to share with the group that I have sold my non-registered shares as well this past week and was able to pay off both of my car loans. What a great feeling. No more monthly payments and I owe it to Freewest. What an amazing run last year.

I still hold 50,000 shares in my Registered account and looking to ride them to the end. $5 would be perfect.

Too bad the rest of my ring of fire plays haven't returned 400%. Oh well, maybe 2010 will be the year.

Almost forgot, voted NO to the 100,000 shares that I held. I am sure there are hundreds of lurkers like myself who have voted NO. We will be over 33% before all is said and done.

The Cliff offer will be turned down, the stock price will drop to the 60 - 70 cent range (I will triple my position if this happens), and then we will wait for a Major to offer us the 3 - $5 that the majority of us are looking for.

Just my opinion of course.

Good luck to all!

Re: Jeff Rubin On 'The Hour' Last Night W/George Strombolopoulis

Rubin has an alterier motive. He is promoting his book...I forget the title, but he was on BNN the night before discussing the same topic.

I give him credit with the opinion he is providing as he is the first that I am aware of to come up with it, however, he is someone that doesn't know his stuff all that well. He was all over the bandwagon pumping up oil last year saying that it would go to $200 because of supply and demand and that it was here to stay. He really knew his stuff when the market reversed and then he jumped on the bandwagon that oil was going to $50.

His opinion isn't often correct and this may be the reason that he "resigned"....cough, cough...got fired from CIBC.

Anyway, he has to make an honest living and now he has to do it by selling books. How do you sell books? You present a controversial opinion on a topic that is at the top of minds of many.

Just my opinion of course.
