last day to buy shares?

I believe today may be the last day to buy shares that can be voted at this years AGM. The record date is Friday Oct 26th, so if you think of the rule before shares become yours, its 1 plus 3 days for settlement, I believe, before the shares in your account become yours, if you bought today. So, any shares bought after Tue, would not be able to be voted by the new recipient at this AGM.
