This is absolutely absurd.

Why would they nibble away at shares and hire "bashers" when they could just buy the whole company for $65M, or half that a few weeks ago? Everyone talks about "big bucks" and the end of discounts. If potential licensees were indeed threatened by such large payments, and weren't laughing the threats off, many could easily buy PTSC with petty cash.

Instead you come up with a conspiracy theory wherein they hedge by buying a penny stock on the open market, but only a few tens of thousands of dollars worth (or even hundreds of thousands of dollsars worth, still a pittance). Risking running afoul of the SEC and/or the FTC for what? A hedge that wouldn't work.

I know you call it "speculation and IMHO" but it borders on laughable.
