Re Application 09/051263. Having overcome prior grounds, it was recently rejected on new grounds. The rejection hinges on an IEEE article "Design & Characterization of a CMOS off chip Driver/Receiver." The examiners argument is that this Driver/Reciver is essentailly a CMOS Oscillator and is combinable with Miller to obtain the stated claims.

The article is actually talking about Patent 6271699. Not sure why the examiner chose to use the article as opposed to the Patent. Perhaps too much detail in the patent which makes it clear it is not a CMOS oscillator?

In any case, could any of our more eclectronically inclined members take a look and comment. Much appreciated.
