I do no know the details of the Bagula paper, but I did run across a 1995 article entitled "History of Microcomputer" written by Intel's founder Robert Noyce. In it he defines microcomputer as follows:

The single chip central processor unit (CPU) has been commonly called a microprocessor. With off chip memory, it is usually called a microcomputer. Single chip computers are often called microcontrollers.

So, if the memory is off chip, (Bagula is likely pre 1983 technology) how does that help CM with the 148?

In the case of Hashimoto 4882710, while ring oscillators are used, it has nothing to do with getting the data from memory to the cpu. So, how does that help with the 148?
