I would take great exception to this logic as if the second statement were to prove true, then the first statement would be categorically false, as it would be MONUMENTALLY STUPID for the CEO of our company to actively be working to depress the shareprice, REGARDLESS of the motives.  His fiduciary duty is contrary to your logic, and to betray that duty would land him in a place that I am sure he's TOO SMART and hopefully too ethical to allow himself to go.
