Borredo - Ron obviously knows he can communicate all of this to Brian but he still seems to be pushing for a letter. This tells me that Ron thinks "a letter" is a better route and he probably won't get anywhere with Brian - or a letter would (possibly) be more effective. Probably no fault of Brian's.

I don't want to speak for Ron but this is the message I'm getting.
