Plaintiff e.Digital Corporation and Defendant ArcSoft, Inc. jointly request that the current claim construction briefing and hearing schedule be extended as set forth below: Event Current date Extended date Supplemental Opening Briefs September 16, 2016 October 13, 2016 Supplemental Responsive Briefs September 30, 2016 October 27, 2016 Hearing on Claim Construction October 27, 2016 November 10, 2016, or subject to the Court’s convenience Good cause exists for this extension because the parties intend to resume settlement negotiations and conduct an in-person meeting during the first week of October. Conducting the meeting earlier is not practicable due to the schedule of ArcSoft’s representative, who has international travel scheduled before then. Extending the claim construction briefing deadlines until after the meeting will save the parties’ resources and facilitate settlement. The requested extension is brief and will result in moving out the claim construction hearing by only two weeks. The extension will not have any effect on any deadlines other than claim construction.
