I agree with DRVEN two heads are better than one may be your thoughts can lead them to dig for more information just in case they did not think about it in the first place.

You are our Hero here and FF and DM might learn a thing or two from your Knowlege and wisdom .

If it does not benefit them (I doubt it) it will not hurt them either.
