Did you know ZEN used Float concentrates ranging from 46%-90% in the Bench Scale benefication trials in 2013, as reported 25 April of that year.
"All trials using a simple caustic baking leach process conclusively demonstrated that an ultra-high purity graphite product with >99.97% Carbon (“C”) can be produced from the Albany graphite deposit. The process was successfully applied to a variety of graphite concentrate samples that had initial carbon grades in the range of 46 – 90% using conventional flotation techniques. In all trials the final purity values were >99.97% C and up to 99.99% C in many cases, regardless of initial carbon grades."
Just didn't matter what the Float Concentrate was, they still got 99.97% purity and some cases 99.99%.
We've now learned from the Pilot Plant trials, from June thru Dec, that with a high 92.5% Float Concentrate, no NaOH Recycling is needed and with a significant 86% reduction in NaOH reagent dosage to maintain the highest purity. (with no sulfer, no metallic impurities, no further drilling required, no dilution since inception, finances in order etc)
Cost savings and still 99.9x% purity. Just NR facts!
