It would add a bit more weight to the complaint if a copy is sent to the Premier's Office with a short explanation (on the same letter of e-mail, so that the OSC is aware that the Premier is cc'd ) that "the painting the tape" activities, often with high speed computers, are outside the bound of legitimate practice for traders, especially traders with major financial institutions. These illegit activities would hurt the reputation of our province's stock exchanges.
The OSC is (supposed to be) an depedent entity and it should know how to govern itself, but it does not hurt for it to have some "political backing" from the Premier's Office (and/or the Feds).
