For at least the third time let me say this regarding the current situation.
This applies to Scottrade. I do not know if other brokerages are the same.
I cannot sell my old TYHJF shares.
I was able to BUY more shares of TYHJF.
After I bought more shares of TYHJF, those shares were available for sale. It is only the shares that I held previous to the name change that have been tied up.
Try placing a buy order with your brokerage that you know won't fill because your bid is too low just to see if your brokerage will accept the order. If it accepts the order, cancel it and place one for real. After you get more shares do the same on the sell side. Offer them for sale at a price where they will not sell and see if the offer is accepted. Cancel it and place an order to sell the shares for real if you wish to trade.
You will then know exactly what you can and cannot do.
