The 5% I'm withholding goes to the fact that Dave was collected, clear, and unflapped by the clown-like demeanor of the interviewer.

In fact, that jokester actually highlighted and enhanced, by contrast, the professionalism of Tyhee's CEO.

My interpretation was that the interviewer was nervous around someone [Webb] who was so much superior, as to be intimidating to the interviewer. Hence, his nervousness and antics were defensive at some level*. I don't think it hurt Webb's message.
