Welcome To the Teryl Resources Corp HUB On AGORACOM A history of successful gold exploration
in response to freedom56's message

A key reference to Teryl's value is the TRC news release describing Kinross’ original November 20, 1998 estimate of 433,000 ounces of gold (also given as 433,400 ounces). The news release was based on essentially just the Main Gil zone - little other exploration had been done at the time; the other zones (Gil North, Sourdough North, Central and South, etc) were hinted-at from surface showings but mostly had not been identified. 43-101 standards didn’t exist at the time (43-101 was adopted November 17, 2000); the Gil Venture numbers were produced for Kinross’ planning. Since that time Kinross has downplayed the Gil at the same time as they spent millions more on exploration ($9.2 million to date) and made more discoveries. A large thumbnail of the March 1999 news release providing the first estimate is shown below - a full-res link is provided here: http://imgur.com/PV1lb.jpg

Writeups - there are a number of TRC writeups but the best one I’ve found is from Jeff Howlett. It's not up to date with recent discoveries and additions to the Gil resource base, but he did a good informative description. Since the time he wrote it, a number of new zones were added and drilling uncovered a good deal more resources. Development expectations expressed at the time were later tempered by the price of gold ($410 at the time). $1100+ is much better for making it happen. A large thumbnail of the front cover of Howlett's report is shown below, and a link to the full-res .pdf of his writeup from January 21, 2004 is provided here: http://tinyurl.com/yc3zzyy
