Not taking sides here, but I have two brokerage accounts with SFMI in them totalling about 3/4m shares. In one, I have a paper loss of about 99.3% according to the brokerage.
In the other is is a little better - 98.7%.
My fault, I've been buying since early 2008. Nobody to blame but myself for continuing to buy in spite of the signs.
I did take advantage of one of the runs, but not as much as I should have so it didn't really do me much good.
I'm not selling, nor am I buying. I am buying GHDC when I can afford it - lots of other expenses right now - but I continue to wonder if I'm flushing more money down the PQ toilet.
Hopefully not, at least I might be able to recover some of the ~$45k that I'm losing on SFMI.
And, we can always hope that, somehow, SFMI will recover enough to get some of our money back...
I'm not a believer, however, that constant Pollyanna talk will do much of anything to rescue us.
