You are right the only advantage would be to adjust their average cost base which of course would reduce their capital loss if they are selling what they bought in the PO. So that would lower the tax advantage of the strategy if I am thinking this through correctly.

I need more coffee to think this through. Maybe some of the day traders can help with the logic...lol
