As we approach Jan I have to beleive many of us Canucks are thinking about TFSAs...appears new govt so far may leave it alone allowing us to contribute 10k tax free but that could change fast
I am thinking of my strategy this week and next. I may buy if the sp stays the same or drifts lower and then transfer those shares to my tfsa in jan... but there is a risk ..the Liberal govt has resumed house activites this week rather than close until new year so its possible they will introduce a motion to reduce contribution room back to 5k as they promised in their campaign...
thinking now i am going to wait and see as close to Christmas as possble before deciding to buy from cash broker account and then transfer to my tfsa in jan..if they dont announce any changes by dec 18th pretty sure no changes to 10k contribution room come Jan1..
