Final good bye

Hey everyone,

Haven't posted in a while because I had to sell my sharest to make the downpayment on a new place to live. Turns out I was lucky I did. I was willing to let my money stay with POET but the THM completely turned me. This is I agree a hindsight message - but I think my job has tought me alot about reading people and their behavior and how they hold themselves. When I watched that town hall meeting I had a visceral reaction that told me this was not good. The fact the Dr. Taylor was not there to say the company was in good hands also made me nervous. It was enough that I sold during the middle of the meeting. I also voiced my dispeasure here on the board but no one seemed to think the THM was that bad.

Seeing what is going on now makes me sick - I got to know alot of you guys through this forum and I truly hope things turn around. It has left me with a sour tase in my mouth and realizing I don't think I have the thick skin to play in this game.

Good luck

Re: Capital Markets.....and why they are important - burn rate unknown??

Great post,

Wiht regards to your statement :

ii) Acquisition of two companies increases burn rate...by how much wasn't made clear. This means that without giving shareholders a clearer view on revenues we might be faced with further dilution down the line.

This bothered me - and I'm a medical not a business guy. When asked about this or there burn rate they stated they would know more by Q4 - how do you aquire 2 companies and not have an idea of their financials and how much it is going to cost going forward.

We hold alot of shares as retailors and really don't deserve to be left in the dark like this. I beleive this is part of the market reaction - retailors are fed up and day traders are swooping in on the swing - so why should we be left holding the short term loss bucket while traders profit? We have put more into this company time and cash then them.

Re: Market

My take - the SP went up 30% from a buck to 1.30 (even 40% to 1.40) over the last month.

Now all the material news that occured during this time - was we acquired 2 companies with modest to no revenues at about 10 % dilution of our shares (good deal BTW)- although great for our long term value - not good for the short term.

As well we received no news as to whether the POET process was closer to commercialization (we had thought AOC NREs H2 2016 - now we are being told 12 months). The POET process and it's disruptive potential is what is driving the SP and our market cap - so when they have a THM and mention very little about it (IMO) this is not good.

Now there is still the same longterm value here - but the market right now does not care about that with a venture stock - this IMO is what is happening to the market right now - we have to ride this out or move on

My take on THM

Gotta say I am disappointed with the THM- I listened to the entire presentation - and here is my take :

Sounds like we are now focusing on these new aquistions and their products - which is what 90% of what the THM focused on. There was very little IMO in the way of updates on the POET process which is the main reason I invested. I thought we would have an AOC prototype available by H2 2016 and associated NREs - but seems like this is on the back burner or off the table for now.

This was the worst case scenario for me - and to me says they have had setbacks if not failure in bringing the POET process to the market. I think there is longterm value in the photonics applications they have aquired - but I was in it for the POET application which I am wondering now will ever come to fruition.

Again this is my interpretation of the THM - from a non tech guy who's been here about 6 months
