I must say that I am impressed. This has got to be the first time that POET has ever disclosed this level of detail. Geoff has always wanted to speak out and elaborate but past managements have always been afraid to let him say too much. I think the reason behind this was that there was a lack of confidence ultimately due to maybe a lack of understanding of just how much of a gap existed between POET and what is out there that might be seen as a threat. And that can be considered in a number of ways. The threat that POET was vulnerable as a takeover target or vulnerable in terms of competing technologies or even the potential that someone could duplicate POET.
This new management team has so much confidence in POET and this why they want to get out in front of investors to let them in on what has been behind the curtain all these years.
