We are all aware, after PC's comments at the CIC London event, that there is a coordinated plan to release news incrementally that will build POET’s Share Price for a NASDAQ listing in June.
Today’s announcement is one that demonstrates that ‘one company is changing the very foundation of electronics’. The collaboration with a third party foundry has been in hand for many moons now. This announcement simply confirms our third party foundry as BAE and how logical that it should be too. Effectively, this gives or has given POET the '20 plus dedicated engineers' or so, which were on PC's wish list. They have experience of GaAs and of working POET and are in the best position to propel this technology along at the required pace for rapid commercialisation
As there was no delay announced of the two milestone due in March, I think it fair to say that the Ring Oscillator and VTSEL Milestones, the requirement of a third party, are in the bag and will be part of the incremental build-up of news shortly. I think we have been given a big clue as to whom that third party might be.
Where the world needs to ‘connect the dots’ is as regards just what is the significance of the inclusion of Tony Blevins in the TRAB (Technology Roadmap Advisory Boards) see below. The intriguing question is does this make Apple the potential Multi-Billion dollar partner, we have already heard talk of at the CIC event, who called for the inclusion of the Ring Oscillator and VTSEL in the POET Technology road map. It all begins to adds up for me. But then who am I to say given my poor record with Rory as my guess for CEO.
Bear in mind also that PC said at the CIC that he wanted everything to be in place for the run to the NASDAQ. This announcement tells us it is.
This is getting very exciting.
