The shareprice can be moved in either direction without too much effort right now so I believe it is probably more about control right now. I mean we have seen significant moves in the share price in anticipation of past events. Maybe the share price right now is simply being controlled to avoid a premature run where day traders buy into the momentum and when the news hits the profit taking causes the momentum to stall? I am sure there are many different theories for why the stock is not being allowed to run-up in anticipation of big news?
