Can I just throw something in here. I don't think too many understand the role of timing of creation of an event or product and the release of that said news. In the tech industry we regularly work and plan 3-6 months ahead of schedules released publicly. If its of a material nature, and the company feels it may be or have negative effects to the overall technology developmental plan, they can obtain exemptions.
Now, i am NOT saying that PTK has or is, or even needs to be doing this. However, it would not surprize me if they were and you are (on some occasions) reading news that occured a month, three months or more, ago.
These timelines are all carefully crafted to, throw the wolves off the trail, be ambiguous, and generally create a sense of timing in the here and now. I know this because we do this, in Canada and the US.
