Steve Mullane and Paul Peterson of BlueFin Research Partners are more adamant about the threat of Samsung and Global, writing that their collaboration is “an industry game changer with pricing implications,” specifically that “monopoly pricing at leading edge nodes” is “going away.”
Both Apple and Qualcomm may defect from TSM, the authors write, as already hinted by the company’s management.
