A portfolio theory typical example used to determine how long it would take to sell a 4% share of Rothmans without affecting the stock price - my recollection was 143 days. Given what we have seen this past week I got thinking about 1 year or 2 years out and how the folks on here might exit without an acquisition offer. Does anyone know the best way to trade once we hit $70+ ? Are there restrictions on $ value of trade? Those will be big $$$ numbers for the roughly 88 people above median holdings shown in Rob's numbers. Would you use a broker and pay the broker fee and have them execute for you to minimize the downward pressure on sales price? If so what would the special instructions you would give the broker? Would you be allowed to trade online and pay a flat fee regardless of $ value or volume? I have never done a big $ trade before so was just wondering the best way to do something like this.
