MMs prey on uncertainty and low volume, it's really a simple formula for making money shorting a stock. Watch a stock move up, look for a decrease in volume stir in a lack of any real news and you make money. Throw in some well placed negativity, maybe even an article (see Inovio today) and you can nearly guarantee a 10 to 20% loss.
I may trade out of a stock from time to time, but have never shorted, simply not in my DNA. I continue to add shares here, we get closer to success every day.
I'm 60 years old, if a stock I like makes me nervous based on real evidence, I reduce my risk or move on entirely. No point beyotching and moaning on a message board unless you have an agenda. Life is too short to live it nervously. Relax enjoy and adjust as needed.
