FYI. Questrade has informed me that because of the volatility of PTK it is now a 100% margin stock. In other words, you will need cash on hand to buy it or hold other equities that allow you a different rate of margin. I have the TFSA buying power option but because I have majority of my funds in PTK there is no maintenance excess available. They said until it stabilizes their risk department will not change the percentage. Given what is coming, I guess it will stay at 100% for the foreseeable future. Just letting ya'll know.
