Rob i think the only thing the mm brokers cant muck with is market buys or sells...they of course cant see those in the order book..but again with super hi speed algos.... correct me if i am wrong but i am told its still possible for robotic traders to pull their asks in time if they see a huge market buy that could drive price up suddenly..i rarely if ever buy at market but i am always fascinated when someone uses this type of sniper attack to get the shares they want...i know it can be a good strategy for a quick exit by selling at market and used often by traders when there is good liquidity..
