Not me - and I'm not being nonchalant about the competition; I'm always looking over my shoulder. Afrezza is the fastest insulin on the planet and will be tough to beat. You've got the insulin in it's active monomeric form. And it's being delivered by one of the fastest delivery routes - inhalation. It's immediately available to the capillary bed and the circulatory system in seconds.
The oral insulin needs to be demonstrated safe and effective in humans. The company is being quite arrogant if they think they can skirt Phase 1 and 2 trials.
Don't get me wrong. They may have a valuable product, but you still have to go through all the steps with the FDA, and that will take years. Even then, it's use will be different than Afrezza - more like a basal insulin.
