As a person that has followed the PM markets closely since 2002 I can tell you that whenever Barrick has made a major statement such as today's news, the proper move is just the exact opposite.

Hedging not at $1900 but at $1225 with most companies breakeven at $1150 to $1175 is insane.

The new CEO is a Goldman person not a mining person. This article is so positive from a contrarian pespective.
