I pieced it together as best I could late at night with tired brain....the implications are clear if the rumor is true and the series of events seems to support the rest of the unwind[s] coming up Monday.

I do not live with this stuff, but did recognize the cast of characters mentioned, so decided to try and answer a question from a poster.

HFT = High Frequency Trading

arb = index arbitrage

VIX = stock volitility index

ES = DOW Spain index

GCZ is December gold

One look at that Gold Volitility Index speaks for itself.....some sort of huge deleverage unwind.

If you can piece it together more clearly with the mechanisms, please do so. I was much more focused on the implications.....pic
