Well said Mike. Here's a question for you... in your opinion will the CAD rebound in the near future or are we seeing a slow march back down to it's traditional .85 cent territory?
Background: I've been in a fight with the Canadian Revenue folks to get my money from a house sale cleared for 6 weeks and watched the dollar drop from 1 -1.10 CHF to 1 -.95 CHF today - brutal- I've lost nearly 15% while they've dithered about the paperwork (which resulted in a silly 5,000 CAD tax). Anyhow, I'm trying to figure out whether I should lock it in soon or ride it for a while and hope for the best.
The slide in the dollar also sucks as I'm watching my shares portfolio today, everything is up, but total CHF value is way down. I would take solace in Canadian honesty and transparency, but we have that here as well- it's unlikely Switzerland will suffer like Greece/Spain/US.
...So what I really need is an ECU 10 bagger right about now :)
