Yes, take a look at the history of KRY, if you want an example of what doing business in a country with political issues can do. One day you think you have a mine, and the next day you're sent packing with little recourse.

Having power, roads, and infrastructure to your property (and no towns to move) is huge. There still has to be gold in the ground, but the advantages that a property in Southern Quebec have, compared to pretty much anywhere else in the world, are very significant.
