I have had one question in mind for many years, one that I've been a little too embarrassed to ask, but here goes. You guys (and gals) seem to represent a fair cross section of North Americans, covering most of the two countries from sea to sea, so maybe there'll be some different opinions (or maybe a chrous of ("Piss off, you wimp", lol). Why do the top levels of popular sports in N. America seem to glorify violence? The NFL and the CFL - concussion city; the NHL; now UFC; and even the NBA, to some extent - they seem to be organized so that the last man standing wins.
