Ok, out of desperation I give RM a call. I was surprised to actually reach him.
I wanted to know when our social obligations will be fullfilled at LC.
He said by end of first quarty 09.
The company is still seeking clarification from the government.
Ok... so from whom do we expect to hear from?
It seems we just need to hear something formal (written) from some part of the government. It could be a resolution, it could be a response form some arm of the government that is able to make a response.
When asked, he also said that the treaty between Vz and Canada for investment protection could be used if things go sour. But it doesn't sound like that's an option at the time.
I also wanted to know if we are in contact with the Canadian government. We are in contact with the Canadian embassy in Vz. They are aware of our situation.
Ok..so the Canadian Government knows what's going on. We need to hear from someone in the Vz governement for clarification. We have had answers to written requests of clarification in the past. We complete out obligations in first quarter 09.
