I'm simply stating cautious optimism.

Vz is not ranked high on investor friendly countries. Having the Chinese behind is could be a double edged sword. This is a new situation and I hope that this pans out.

This deal has only just been announced so the timeline to completion has to be factored in. We don't have all the information - only a high level agreement of intent.

Where this will ultimately go will depend on the fickle Chavez. China is pouring Billions into Vz for good reason. Think for a minute... how many deals has Chavez "done" in the past. Kry and China have a deal and someone in the Vz government is happy... Who would that be?

So until I hear Chavez touting this deal and annoucing a great new erra of Gold, China and Socialist Revolution (how he ties those together... who will know!) I'm going to continue to wallow in my drink (thanks for the pour!).

Don't get me wrong though... I'm in to KRY more than I wish. I'm riding this out and expect to take a nice profit. I'm also warry of the time line.

As far as bets are concerned I'm still betting my shares that this will work out.

From what I read this deal will not be done until August even then it won't close until 3rd quarter.

It sounds like a lot of steps need to be taken between now and deal close. Who knows what can happen. So, it looks like good news but really we only have the 50K feet view of the deal.

How many years before the mine can be built? No permit yet.

How many years of production before KRY is in the black after paying debt and liabilities?

What could happen politically in Vz? What was promised to the Russians? Could this be a head fake to get KRY to void their MOC?

In the end... action will move this stock. That action can't start until the 3rd quarter.

Perhaps Chavez has tweeted something about this deal... (lol)

BTW: I doubt that Cramer will talk about us tonight... I'd rather hear from Bill Cara on what he thinks.

This deal won't be done until August... then won't close until the 3rd quarter. A lot can happen before this thing really is a done deal.

Still... this is the best news we've heard in a long time. I think it's true that the market doesn't understand this deal... come on... 2/3 of the company is gone! At least WE can see the bigger picture.

Also consider the Vz discount.

Also consider that China is now MORE capitalistic than the US of A and Canada. I'm really not sure how Vz is going to sell this.

Incredibly I'm now rooting for Chavez in the coming elections :-O (if it will get this deal done)
