Was Scottrade responsible for the deduction, or was the transfer agent? ETrade claims is was withheld "at the source"/transfer agent, so they can't reverse the deduction directly. I'm trying to get them to contact the transfer agent to get this reversed. I'm still awaiting to hear back from ETrade (tax department). I've also engaged Copper Fox, so we'll see what happens. CF has been very responsive!
