There's no doubt that currently,investors don't take reserves into consideration because if they did SP would be much higher.When CLL was just starting and basically an exploration company, proven reserves weighed heavily in SP.However the transition from exploration company to producer changed that as what good are reserves if you're unable to produce and unwilling to do joint ventures( changing now).

IMO the reserves are taken into consideration as assets when seeking financing.I'd also add that reserves may also be considered by other companies when looking at either a joint venture or a takeover.
