I would think that those who could stand the permanent loss or can use the tax loss would already have done so. My experience in the past with these reverse splits is that it messes up the cost basis computer in my brokerage account (to my disadvantage). Fortunately my largest holding is in my IRA where that is not a factor. It will mess up those Hughes stocks in my cash account. Anyway, there is no advantage for my personal situation to sell.
