From what I read the Treasury is going to aid the Auto workers until the senate approves the deal. I do not totally understand what the problems are with the deal. But if the workers are going to have to take concessions hope management also takes wage cuts. The industry needs to be completive and think smarter in this economy to compete. But the workers need to also pay their bills to keep the economy healthy. Concession and roll backs in benefits can be negotiated with labor on a temporary contract.Then returned to the workers if the restructuring gets the industry healthy again. Manufacturing jobs need to be created in this economy not depleted or moved to other countries.
