The great difficulty for the financing agencies doing the private placements is convincing individual qualified investors that juniors will rebound in the near term while the markets themselves are so seemingly irrational. In the past one could always go to another country for financing, the main reason for listing on multiple exchanges along with liquidity. But since everyone is feeling the financial crisis to some degree, financings are getting hard to come by.
