Some questions:

Is this merger a good thing for ECU shareholders? We are bringing $450 million ounces of Silver to the table and Golden Minerals is only bringing 60 million ounces. Aren't we diluting our resources among many other investors with this merger?

Also, why couldn't Steve Altman develope his resources better? In the joint ECU-Golden Minerals presentation he did not give that clear an answer to this question (his answer starts at 50:50 or so). He said the mill came online very quickly and they had not yet developed the deeper mines. So develope them already! What has been going on with ECU?

Also, what is the aim of the naked short sellers? They can't keep the price suppressed forever, can they? Why are they trying to keep the price down? Are they intending to do it until all hell breaks loose in the American economy and they nationalize the silver and gold mines and so they take our shares away from us (like with Lehman Brothers) without them ever rising?
