Re: Trading and news

"Common sense dictates that price does not go up when there are more sellers than buyers."

That is true. As of now, there have been 373.5K shares traded. That means there have been 373.5K shares traded, NOT bought or sold; both need to happen.

My question is: have the elites been buying or selling. From the volume, you can't tell.

But your point is taken. It does seem that there are those that are benefiting from information earlier than those of us on this board. But that is the nature of venture capital speculation.

Re: Trading and news

So, perhaps you can predict this:

If the news is BAD, are the elites dumping their shares (although at this volume and SP, no one is getting rich) OR,

If the news is GOOD, are the elites buying (again, no one is getting rich)?

Are the elites buying, or selling?

Re: MMI Question

I don't believe there are any hard assets.
As for the value of the permits, if I was an accountant (which I'm not), I would probably count them as a prepaid expense. I don't know if you can sell these permits.

Wow, a true penny-stock! Will the TSX-V allow this to be listed at such a low value?

Re: MMI Question

Since MMI isn't actually "doing" something in the traditional sense, it will probably be a simple cash on hand divided by the number of outstanding shares. I don't believe there are any intangibles, such as goodwill, that can be used to add value.

So, if you know how much cash they have and how many outstanding shares there are, this will give you a good idea of what the SP will be once it's issued.

More to the point, does anyone know these values?

Re: Wassup

Kind of reminds you of the old Duran days?

Duran split shares to spin off MMI and still not listed.

SMH will also spin off a property with no real details so far. Looks pretty similar to me.

It's probably why the SP is drifting downwards despite gold reaching daily highs. Some value will have to be taken out of SMH to forward to the spinoff.

Re: gold running...

Gold has suddenly surged because of a perceived risk by the market in the US dollar. The markets are expecting inflation to rise, and since gold is considered a safe haven from inflation, hence the recent run up.

We'll see how long this rally has legs. I wish the SP of SMH would reflect this a little better.
