Re: Fundamentals led, stock jump suggests drilling success..

NSS,

On page 7 of the 2017 Canstar Investor Presentation we have the following statement:

Mineralization has found to be associated with deformation zones believed to be related to their proximity to contact with nearby pluton.

Deformation zones are areas where we have faults in the geological structure. A nearby pluton is an intrusive rock that is best described as “fossilized magma chamber.” If you study how gold deposits are formed you know that hydrothermal activity will heat ground water, under tremendous pressure, and force it to the surface or near surface. The path of least resistance for the superheated fluid is through faults in rock structure. As the fluid cools the minerals are deposited and you form structures such as quartz veins. The superheated fluid also caries gold as it rises through the faults. The gold and other minerals are concentrated in the faults over time. I believe this is what the statement on page 7 implies. How much gold? We need to drill.

First, geophysical images in the new presentation look like a high correlation between surface samples/channel cut data and the subsurface views. How much of your confidence in successful drill results comes from this new geological view?

I’m not a geologist. I study the data from Canstar and compare it to neighbouring operations who share similar geology. The link below may help.

Look at our nearest neighbour:

Goldcorp-Red Lake -Overview & Operating Highlights

Our Canadian cornerstone, amongst the world’s richest gold mines.

Red Lake is located in one of the world’s most prolific gold districts.  In 2015, gold production totaled 375,700 ounces. The High Grade Zone is the backbone of the Red Lake operation, with an average grade of more than two ounces of gold per tonne. Recent investments in infrastructure and development have positioned this renowned mine for many more years of long-term sustainable production

Spend some time reviewing neighbouring operations. Look for similarities.

Second, the property outlines show what seems to be gaps in Canstar's position. Am I interpreting that right? If so, are they looking to add to their land position?

There are many reasons for gaps in the land position maps. It would be best to direct the question to Daniel. Adding more land is always an option. It's best to get all you can before coming out with big news.

From what I can tell all indicators point to a “NEW” gold discovery in Kenora. You can always make $$ after the news but its best to get in early. I purchased Probe Mines when the price was <$0.10/share. When Goldcorp gave me $5.00/share I was thrilled! Canstar is an exciting play that is currently flying under the radar. Not for too long.

NSS,

Good to see someone posting on this forum. I have been with Canstar since 2004 and soon after I invested heavily in Probe Mines. I made a lot of $$$$ when Probe was bought by Goldcorp. Bought a ton of the new Probe Metal and things are going great! We have solid teams in both companies. I’m confident Canstar will find gold in Kenora. I have spoken to Daniel throughout the development of the Kenora project and I’m very satisfied with the teams planning and management of the project. Very reminiscent of the early days at Borden Lake with Dave Palmer. The early exploration work in Kenora has returned some interesting numbers. They are certainly more exciting than the number returned from the early exploration work at Borden Lake.

Re: Volumes

I placed a purchase for 20K shares this morning below the asking price. I was filled immediately after confirming the order. Who is keeping the price down? We should be moving up today.

Soon back at $0.50/share

If it goes under $0.80/share I will double my position.
